The History of Moissanite
First discovered in 1893 by Nobel Prize-winning scientist Henri Moissan inside a meteorite crater in Arizona - Moissanite is a naturally occurring gemstone. But due to it's extreme rarity, today the Beauxier Moissanite is carefully crafted in laboratories to replicate the exact original gemstone.
With a hardness of 9.25 on the Mohs scale, Moissanite is one of the hardest gemstones available, making it highly durable and suitable for everyday wear. However, what truly sets it apart is its unique optical properties: the exceptional brilliance and fire when compared every other gemstone.
Gradually as perceptions around lab-created gemstones evolved, so did the place of Moissanite. And so Beauxier was born: to recognise, certify and celebrate it as a gemstone with its own identity, qualities and value.
